Whether you have children, godchildren, or grandchildren, they need to be educated about the possible dangers that are associated with the Internet. Explain to them that they should never give out their telephone number, address, or information about school activities and where they take place and other pertinent personal information. The intent isn’t to scare them. Instead of simply “laying down the law,” explain the reasons for these restrictions to your kids; that may go a long toward getting your kids to cooperate.
