NT comes with a built-in guest account, and GartnerGroup questions whether this default guest account is necessary. This account lets users who do not have regular accounts log on. The bad news is that the guest account allows anonymous access. However, the guest account is disabled by default in NT Server, mitigating the account's inherent risks.
