Special icons.

By default Windows has no a possibility to hide special icons such as My Computer, Recycle Bin, My Documents, etc. from the desktop and from the file system. Using the following options you can hide a lot of special icons:

  • Hide My Computer Icon - Hides My Computer Icon Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
  • Hide My Documents Icon - Hides My Documents Icon Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
  • Hide Recycle Bin Icon - Hides Recycle Bin Icon Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
  • Hide my network places icon - Hides My Network Places Icon Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
  • Hide administrative tools icon - Hides Administrative Tools Icon Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
