Add or remove programs.

The following restrictions are available in this group:

  • Disable add/remove programs - This option disables Add/Remove Programs. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Disable change and remove programs - This option disables Change and Remove Programs Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option. Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Disable add programs - This option disables Add Programs. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Disable windows components wizard - This option disables Windows Components Wizard. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Hide "add a program from cd-rom or disk" option - This option hides "Add a program from CD-ROM or disk" option. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Hide "add programs from microsoft" option - This option hides "Add programs from Microsoft" option. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Hide "add programs from your network" option - This option hides "Add programs from your network" option. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Go directly to windows components wizard - Go directly to Windows Components Wizard. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Disable support information - This option disables Disable Support Information. Option affects selected user, see the status bar. Reboot your PC to activate or deactivate this option Applicable to Windows 2000/XP.
  • Hide set program access and defaults - This option is used to hide "Set Program Access and Defaults" on the Add or Remove Programs page. This feature was introduced with Windows XP SP1 and Windows 2000 SP3 to allow users to configure the default applications used on the PC. Option affects selected user, see the status bar.
