When children are using PCs.

Impose some rules and guidelines.
When children are using PCs, they need to be guided concerning the appropriateness of the sites they visit and the actions they take. Discuss your feelings with your children and then impose some rules and regulations. If you use an ISP (Internet service provider), check with it to see what type of filtering and blocking controls are available. For instance, AOL has Parental Controls that let adults limit their children to certain sites and types of e-mail. Parents can also later see a log of what programs their children ran on the computer and what sites they visited. If your ISP doesnt have similar controls, you can purchase and install independent software such as Security Administrator (http://www.softheap.com) for a moderate price.
